Different depth levels

A medical peel is a highly effective method for renewing skin, reducing pigmentation, tightening pores, and visibly smoothing fine lines. At my PrimaDopo studio in Lucerne, I offer peels at various depths, individually tailored to your skin condition and treatment goals. I, Vered Kedem, a certified physician, personally perform each treatment. You will always be under my guidance, without changing hands or assistance.

Depending on the depth of the peeling, I differentiate between:

  • Superficial peeling (e.g. fruit acid) for a fresh glow and refined pores
  • Medium-depth TCA peeling for pigment spots, fine wrinkles, sun damage or acne scars
  • Deep phenol peeling – exclusively at PrimaDopo in Lucerne – specifically for fine wrinkles around the eyes and mouth (e.g., barcode lines)

Targeted treatment of wrinkles

The deeper phenol peel is a special option if you want to specifically treat wrinkles without adding volume to sensitive areas like the lip line or eye area – where volume is often perceived as distracting or artificial. Instead, I smooth the fine lines through targeted skin resurfacing – with lasting results.

Skin reacts differently to a peel depending on the intensity. While superficial peels often only cause slight redness or fine flaking, medium- or deep peels can cause significant redness, tightness, or peeling—all part of the regeneration process. I'll give you detailed information beforehand about what to expect and how to best care for your skin after the treatment.

Suitable method for your skin

As a doctor, I have extensive knowledge of dermatoaesthetics and use peels not only for cosmetic reasons, but also for medical reasons – taking into account your skin structure, your wishes, and your overall complexion. I will always provide you with an honest assessment of which peel strength and active ingredient combination is suitable for you.

If you're looking for visible skin renewal without needles or volume, a medical peel is an excellent option. I look forward to advising you personally and choosing the right method for your skin together with you. Your doctor, Vered Kedem.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

  • What exactly does a medical peel do?

A medical peel specifically removes dead skin cells, stimulates cell renewal, and visibly improves skin texture. Depending on the depth of the peel, pigmentation spots, fine wrinkles, large pores, or sun-induced skin damage can be significantly reduced—for a more even, smoother complexion.

  • What peeling depths do you offer?

    I offer three different options:

    • Superficial peels (e.g. fruit acid) for gentle refreshment without downtime
    • Medium-depth TCA peel against wrinkles, pigment spots, and acne scars
    • Deep phenol peel – exclusive to PrimaDopo – targeted for fine wrinkles around the eyes and lips
  • How do I find out which peeling is suitable for my skin?

In a personal consultation, I will precisely analyze your skin condition and discuss with you whether a chemical peel is appropriate—and if so, to what depth. Your goals, your skin structure, and your daily routine will all be considered in the individual recommendation.

  • Is there any downtime with TCA or phenol peels?

Yes, with a medium-depth TCA or deep phenol peel, you should expect a downtime of approximately 7 to 10 days. During this phase, the skin will be red, tight, and begin to visibly peel—this is a desired part of the renewal process.

  • How many sessions are necessary?

Superficial peels are usually applied as a course of treatment—approximately three to five sessions. With TCA or phenol peels, a single treatment is usually sufficient, as the effect is profound and long-lasting.

  • Are there any risks or side effects?

Mild redness, tightness, or peeling are normal reactions. With TCA, and especially with phenol, there is an increased risk of hyper- or hypopigmentation—especially with strong sun exposure or improper aftercare. Therefore, it is crucial to consistently follow my care instructions.

  • Will you personally perform the peeling?

Yes, every peeling treatment is performed exclusively by me personally. You won't have any assistants or hands changing. Even after the treatment, I'll be closely monitoring your skin to optimally support its regeneration and achieve the best possible results.
